1981 911sc SpecBooklet Rod bolt torque question
 
Hello,
Does someone happen to have the following book's rodbolt torque? I have an 81 and this would be the applicable literature (not the 82/83 booklet).

I would buy it knowing what I know now, but I don't want to wait the 1-7 days till procurement plus shipping for this information as it's set to go in.

I would appreciate it very much if someone could please take the time to look this up.

I have it. The Conrod nut torue is 50-55 Nm.

Thanks Matt. The 82/83 same 50-55nm. I watched the video of the 73 factory installation as a member pointed out, they dumped oil onto the threads before applying the nuts.

What motor are concerned about? The SC had a 10mm bolt and the 930 had a 9mm bolt. Different specs. Let us know...

Yup, the 10mmx1.25 3.0SC, oem bolt. There's been so much confusion as to the torque spec of these bolts, Bentley specs two different approaches for new rod bolts in two chapters one being 55Nm, then 20Nm+90deg, Wayne says torque angle then says in an update online only valid for post 84 cars, but yet in his book retains the 10x1.25 value and doesn't correct it as 84 to 89 used the 9mm, then a lot of pro's are going torque angle, then some other's are not, then one is going 56ftlbs. I called the Porsche dealership in Langley that did a 7 part youtube video on an sc rebuild last year and they are 20Nm then to 50 - 55Nm, as in the spec booklets, I hope to talk to the manager directly today, but the message he left for me was very clear. Also, torque angle, at least when I tried it is roughly 75Nm final torque, close to the yield point of the bolt, but they always returned to original length when removed.
