Question 3.2 upgrade TEC-3 Manifold?

I have a 3.2 that is going into my 73. I am looking into upgrade in cam, TEC-3, and have a question regarding manifolds. Stock Carrera manifold or butterflys and stacks. O yes, and streetable!
I don't have to smog the car so I would like to use a S or GE60 cam. I would like to up the c/r and twin plug. The $ for a carb setup is about the same as a TEC-3 system less manifold, I think? . I have read on theTech forum about the unreliablity of aftermarket injection/ignition. Is there any setups in this range that is reliable on the street?

The pistons I would like to use would be JE 10.5/1. I could drop another $2,000 and 100mm p&c, but I should stop dreaming. I bought this 3.2 about 3 years ago to replace the 2.4 in the hopes of saving money.
Some day I should wake-up!
