Piston edge head clearance
 
Piston edge head clearance. Mine measure 0.040 with new barrels and pistons Ishtar ok

This is good . .030" is minimum and .020" doesn't work .

In the past I've machined the piston to get this clearance. I'd stick with the .040" especially with JE's which have sloppy cold tolerances.
