So... ever start to rebuild a motor then come back to it 2 years later...
So, I'm back. Porsche 930 motor, 95% done. Sitting in the shed for about 1-2 years as I just lost interest. Life's too short to spend all of it in a shed...
 Fuel injectors flushed, balanced about a year ago... Well, time to complete it... took meticulous notes, pictures, etc... I recall it being "almost completely done..." Just mate the gearbox to it and put the sucker back in... If only... Spent the entire day readjusting the exhaust so it mates with the intercooler... Then realized I didn't put in the oil return line to the tank... so, heat exchanger needs to some off... Then realized the oil return line got crushed... somehow... so needs to be fixed Then realized I have dozens of wires, and connectors... just dangling there... Then realized I ought to double check every bolt just to make sure its snug... Its good to be playing with it again... Whats the longest you've been away from your motor rebuild before you got back? Or, is it still in pieces  ?Should be good to go in a couple months as the weather improves to put it back in... I'm nervous as hell... you know it ought to work...and ought not leak... |

I have engine projects I started over 15 years ago. It’s not important how long the project sat or how long it took for you to complete it. What is important is that you finish it before you die.
