Please tell me this isn't true????

And I'd like to add that I have a huge amount of respect for anyone willing to take on the task of developing and manufacturing ANY component with the goal of improving these engines. It's a high risk endeavor, and I doubt there's any real money in it. Those that do it can almost only be doing so out of passion.

What???? I have been making no money for years???? Now I understand why my shoes have holes in them.

You Sir, tell the truth here!!! The pile of tried it and failed gets bigger by the day.

And then there’s the cliché of, “How do you make a small fortune in racing? Start with a large one!”
I’ve spent money looking for improvements, but have had a lot of fun exploring! Thank you for your contributions Neil, I look forward to reading when there is new post with your name on it.

Ummm, could you add a little context here??? Was this a quote for an email, phone call or a thread here?

Cheers

Most of the air cooled Porsches trade hands for silly money (compared to 10-15 years ago), hence they are being bought by people with deep pockets willing to spend huge money on rebuilds and upgrades.

The 924 platform, now that's a different kind of beast.... No parts and almost no one willing to make them....

Plagiarism...........

Neil,

You just committed plagiarism by posting someone’s post. Hope you are aware of your deed.

How so?

So because he didn't put quotes around his copy & paste, or put it in the typical forum quoting format like I show above and below

Quote:

......
then it means he plagiarized? Well then I think there's a lot of other people guilty of that here on the forum over the years. Not to mention he didn't post the statements as his own. I see the intent was clearly there by Neil as he chose to put the text in italics

The premise of this thread seems to be, dissecting a compliment about those who risk R&D with no guarantee of financial success.
A sarcastic response is followed by a self-serving lump of implied acceptance.
Sarcasm on the page can often lead to confusion in the reader.
This thread offers little to the engine builder except the pompous attitude of some of it's participants.

sarcasm from Neil

Henry from Supertec.Perfectly stated. You are dry in humor especially with all the leakers you work on.Ciao Fred

Jeff Alton 04-06-2021 07:50 PM

So in other words, this particular thread is worthless to anyone building an engine.

this thread is like listening to some stranger in a store talking loudly on the phone with an ear piece

it might be important to the OP but few people know what he's talking about or care
