What is that hole for ( in my 75 911s?

Hi everyone,
I am wondering what is the hole in my front trunk for my 1975 911S?

It's a hole for AC equipped cars, normally covered by an auxiliary plastic duct.

I will have my fuel pump in the front trunk so that where fuel lines go in and out. Thanks

I don't understand given Porsche's history why anyone would expect it do be not as good or better with the newer models? That should be a given.....it really should be about the changes and the improvements. We all know the Porsche's will always be very good.
