spark plug wires

I agree with earlier posts about the beru plugs wires for early engines are of poor quality.
On a stock 67S I don't want to use wires that are red or blue, ect in color.
What is out there in a black wire set that is of high quality. Can't seem to find anything that is not red or blue.
Thanks in advance. RC

Magnacore also has 8mm black wire. I have a set of the red magnacore's and the (black) plug ends are top notch.

PMS has black wire with a tough stock-ish looking braided cover, I have a twin plug set on my 914.

The new Clewett Engineering cables I purchased for my '71 911T engine build are very nice, and black.

I modified one brand new standard Beru wire set with black 7mm Pertronix leads only to find the connectors were falling apart when pulling them out to check the spark plugs. Next I sourced a quite expensive "high performance" wire set only to realize it was also using Beru connectors showing the same problem. First time I pulled the connectors one fall apart leaving the internal resistor and a small metal spring inside the cylinder head. If you don't catch this and remove the spark plug you might be lucky and something might fall into the combustion chamber. Anyway I never was able to recover the small metal spring and is still hiding somewhere between the cylinder cooling fins. Next I ordered a Clewett Engineering wire set (black color) from out host and am really pleased with the quality. Only issue is the larger outer diameter which will not fit the stock rubber wire mounts, so you have to find some creative solution there.

I used a set of clewetts as the beru’s came apart and parts almost fell into the empty soark plug hole when changing plugs.

I had a twin plug set of Clewett's and was not impressed at all, cheap red wire covers that were all torn up, full of dirt and cheap plug ends with crappy air seals.
Set was about 8 years old and was only used for 3-4 years on a 6 month/yr Sunday car.

Clewett for many years, no troubles. Glad they have black now, used to offer a tan, or gray that was pretty classy

I've been using Clewett wires for a few years now.
