2.2 Rod Modifications

I have read a few places that there are no aftermarket rod bolts available for 2.2 rods and that you need to modify them in order to get 2.4/2.7 rod bolts to fit.

I have also read elsewhere that ARP 204-6001 (generally quoted to be 10mm bolts for 2.4/2.7 rods) do fit without modification?

So which is true? and if they need to be modified, what is the modification that is needed?

Thanks in advance!

2,2 rods are same as 2,0

Bored? You'll think about stroking when you see these rods.

You should have the rod cap modified to get the rod bolt centered for the big end parting line. Not doing the mod puts approx. 1mm of the bolt that’s designed to control the big end parting line into the rod. It also gets you more thread engagement at the nut end.
