Engine Case

Wondering if anyone can assist…I have a blank Porsche replacement engine case (7R block) that has this date code - only a 23, with no other number below the line - all 74 motors I have seen have the two digit date below the line!? Could this be a February 73 block? What to make of this? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!
