Crank Seals
So the gasket set I bought is missing a heap of parts, including #8 Nose Bearing Oil Scraper and Rear Main Seal. I’ve tracked down the sizes from PET and they are available in VITON from a local seal supplier. But do they need to be directional seals …???

The vast majority of crank seals are directional. Look closely at the seal's edge and you'll see the lines. Also, on the face of the seal where the mfgr part number is, you'll often see an arrow.

OK, seems directional is worthwhile but not critically important. I’ll give the standard seals a go and see how they fair .. I understand Porsche original seals aren’t much chop ..
