996TT Engine Rebuilder Suggestions

Hello,

Looking for suggestions on a shop with experience rebuilding the water-cooled Mezger engines. The motor in my 996TT has some noises that could be related to a number of things like worn lifters, chain tensions, stretched chains... etc. I am seeing a pretty high cam position deviation on one of the banks.

I would really like to talk to anyone with experience with these motors. Located in the SF Bay Area, but anywhere is fine. All suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks,
Jeff

If you are in Califorinia Betim at BBI is one of the best. Jake Raby on the East Coast is also excellent. I’m sure there are trustworthy builders closer to you as well.
