Engine case difference USA Vs European

1977 2.7LT model number 901.101.101.7R.

Due to large engine oil leaks etc I’m considering buying an engine case that’s been sitting for a number of years that appears to be in much better condition. Although I’m in Australia my car is originally USA California.
The engine case I’m considering purchasing, history is unknown. As I would be transferring the internal engine parts into the new/old case I’m wondering if there’s any difference between the European engine cases and those that were sold in the US.

No difference but why change cases if there’s no damage?

Both are magnesium and can have residual twist from heat.
I would reseal what you have unless it’s terminal unusable

Line bore
Resurface
Good sealer.

After a while they leak again.
