84v48 and KS 84072
Hi all,
I need to replace a piston in my 1970 T. It's a Mahle 84v48 (as are the other 5), but I haven't been able to source one. I have found a KS 84072 which is also listed as a piston from a 1970 T, but I'm not sure they would be interchangeable. Is it possible to use one Kolbenschmidt with the other 5 being Mahle? The Mahle needs to be replaced because the two lobes are broken at the bottom of the piston. Similar to the pic in this thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-engine-rebuilding-forum/468640-broken-piston-how-much-mistake-going-cost.html Thank you |
I checked my parts stash and I have a set of 6 KS 84072, if that is of any interest to you.

Thanks Al. I'll keep looking for a Mahle, but keep this in mind.
