Which Crank Position Sensor to Use with 3.6/GT3 Flywheel

With my engine/g50 trans combo I am putting together I have a 964RSR/GT3RS 4.0 flywheel.

The 964/993 crank position sensor supersedes to 996-606-105-00 which is listed for 964, 993 and 996 Turbo. The sensor listed for 996 GT3 however is 996-606-105-02 and that part number continued to be used on 997 GT3 and Turbos.

Anyone know what the difference is? Is the GT3 996-606-105-02 a higher resolution sensor that does better at high revs?

Looks like either requires a new plug to work with a 3.6 engine harness and I plan on running an aftermarket ECU anyways so I think either should work but am curious if anyone knows the difference between them.
