Engine Blueprinting
I highly recommend the book " Engine Blueprinting" by Rick Vogelin, ISBN 1-884089-26-7 This book has all the basic steps in it. It helps a person understand what is being done to their engine when it is being worked on by the gurus. Porsche does a lot of the steps at the factory, eg the 3 angle valve job is std. The book deals with american v8 engines, but the mechanics are identical. This book takes a lot of the mystery out of the blueprinting business.
