993 Coil On Plug Valve Covers

Hello, Ive been beavering away on a coil on plug project for all the cam carrier variants, with a real focus on quality and fit. First in my Hardinge Bridgeport VMC is the 993 type.
All 4 covers are different so we get a good fit around all areas.
They are made from European sourced 6061, with no corners cut in the machine time to get the best finish.
I will upload more pics as I manufacture the different variants.

Thanks Evan, Initially I tried to use a Porsche coil, Unfortunately the stem of the Porsche coil interfered on the 993 cam housing on number 1 cylinder, So I went with the AUDI R8 coil, They are retained by a lip machined into the cover and are located by 2 rubber keys on the coil. You will see the 2 slots on the covers. The Audi R8 coils are well proven and the retention not using bolts is nice

Hello, ive got a few on the go currently, but these valve covers are for a Singaporean customer. They are 80.4 x 102mm engines. Billet heads, custom cast intake manifolds with twin drive bywire throttle motots etc. Alot of one off custom stuff. Here is a link to my facebook page. Im based in Auckland New Zealand.. my main business is building single seater engines for F3 spec cars and Porsches as time permits.

I’m very interested in a set for a 1976 930/50 twin plug turbo motor. Can you provide a cost estimate yet?

I think there is probably interest from quite a few people, myself included. Not having messed with VW coils before, they will fit both 12mm and 14mm spark plugs?

Still working on that, But they will be competitive. I will have them done in January. If you message me I can email you some screen shots of the CAD model . Thanks for the interest. David Gouk.

Hi Evan,
The Audi coil is a smart coil, just like a Porsche coil. So no separate igniters are required. Yes they fit, 10, 12 and 14, as long as the plug has a 16mm/5/8 hex size.
The VW/Audi coil connectors are readily available for your engine loom.
In the 12mm, NGK plugs the first 2 letters signify 12mm thread/16mm hex
Hope this helps. Thanks David Gouk
