SC cam reusable advice OR upgrade

Just pulled this out and before I start measure for tolerances I was wondering about this break down. Is it ok to use this as is? Does this deterioration require a regrind? Others have posted their used SC cams that look decent.

So should I regrind this and possibly the other - if in similar condition?

Buy a good used set? $200

Upgrade to 964 cams or regrind to 964 spec?

Going a budget build, but if I'm moving to EFI ITB and have to put money in the cams, can I just upgrade the cams to 964 and readjust timing keeping everything else stock?

Sorry for the 2 parted question.

Nick, that’s from 35+ years of running
You’re still lifting the rocker with 90% of the lobe and of all the cam lobe pictures
available, none show a total wipe lobe.
Isn’t there a better place to spend money…

I'm all ears Bruce.

Ok so I'm scrubbing the idea of the 964.

So you are saying I can run em as is?

If cost is a concern, note it and run it
