Mag Timing chain housing pitting

Wondering if there is a tip or source to fix the lip of the magnesium timing housings as to prevent possible leaks. I’ve heard JB weld. Repairing that material is a specialized thing due to fire potential. Anyone have any luck making it work? Thanks in advance!

I use 574 on the gasket box to the case and on cover to the box if in doubt
If everything looks good I just do the bottom 1/3 because there is oil constantly when sitting.
If you want a thinker sealant because of the magnesium try 3 bond or Yamabond , it’s all the same but read the directions.
