engine cooling tins, quick question.

I am putting back my engine (3.0 for an SC) together, and in my ziplock bag of those tins that goes around the cylinders i have this piece:

is it part of the kit of those tins or does it go elsewhere?
where does it go, what is it, i don't remember...

For an SC, it’s not anything I’ve ever seen on one.

I looked at diagrams and images and catalog and found nothing so I will not worry about it for now.
