The distance from the deck of the piston to the top of the wrist pin is the same on both sets. CP used my old piston to spec my new ones. I think what gives it that illusion is the spacing and size of the two different ring sets. Same rods are being used and the deck height is currently right around 1.4mm.

Couple questions regarding cam timing. My cams have nothing on them to indicate top dead center. Is it woodruff key up? Also, I'm going with William Knight's spec for cam timing, he had told me a while back. 4.7mm - 5mm. Seems like a lot, but I'll trust what he says, his cams.

Convert everything to E85 and get the best of both worlds:

1. 100-105 octane
2. Engine cools under WOT

Motor is almost done, just waiting for final word on cam timing. It's been a learning experience.

Motor is done. Just did a 25 minute break in. Lots of crackling and popping, but no leaks. Thanks to everyone that has contributed over the years. Without the search function here, I never would have been able to do this. This was my first and only engine rebuild. Thanks also to iCarp and William Knight for their long informative conversations. Take notes if either of those guys ever calls you.

Next is plate renewal tomorrow and then exhaust fab. Switching to a GT3 muffler that will be valved. I also need to clean up the ignition wiring.

A terrible video of a portion of the break in. Open headers....

This one had a little "sweat" coming from it. Gave it a slight snugging, hopefully it stops.

Also, I lost my turn signals since the car's been down. Not sure what's going on. Nothing indicated on the tach and neither right or left work. Fuses are fine.
