Difference

I open the small hole to 5/32 for more flow but still holding pressure in the crankshaft.
First pic is old and new
Second picture is 5/32 bit in the old style compared to new

New, first start recommendations

Hi Bruce,
I am beginning a high performance rebuild assembly. Do you think it appropriate to wait untill after break in to move to a more restricted - restrictor, given the critical nature of cam break in???

Thanks,
chris

Stock is 6mm, updated is 2.5mm. Many people split the difference and go with 4.5mm

Follow up question, re break in oil

Hi Bruce,
i know you have been there done this before, and am curious about "best practices" for break in.
After the initial "20" minute break in, with Driven 20-50, dump oil and filter, does it make sense to run the next 2000 miles with more Driven 20-50 brake in oil???
Given the importance of oil filtration to get rid of the break in debris, can you reccomend a better filter than the Baldwin 292???

thanks,
chris

for what it's worth; I split the difference with a 4.5mm. When I bought my car it had the "updated" restrictors. After much research I decided to enlarge to 4.5mm
