'81 911 SC Tires
Time for new Paws. I currently have BF Goodrich Comp TA's on the front and Michelin XGT's on the back. What's the opinion on new rubber these days?

Will you be using the car year 'round? If so you'll want an all season tire...for the snow. Lots of nice tires out there, determining how you will use the car is the first step. Put Yokohama ES 100's on the girlfriends Jetta...very smooth ride and a good compromise for our climate and her driving style. Hope this helps!

Thanks.
Just a good weather driver. No snow for the baby! Is it a problem putting different tires on the front and back? ______________ Dale '81 SC Targa

Bridgestone S-03's. I think they're great on the track, on the street, and in the rain.

Doug is right OT for the rebuild forum. That said it would be ideal to run the same tread design all the way around, if that's not possible at least match speed ratings and load index front to rear.

Correct on the OT. I run Goodyear Eagles front and back. No issues, but I don't do any eventing and rarely get over 80. They are a good compromise for an inexpensive tyre.

Hi,
I installed Pirelli P6000 on mine. I've been told these would wear out faster than average. I'm satisfied with the drive but I don't have lots of experience in tire appreciation. Alain p.s. Yep, OT
