Flare type on MFI hard fuel lines?
 

Hi,

in the process building a MFI-pump test setup I was wondering what the type of flare on the (hard) fuel lines between injector and pump are?
Are they of a special type/name and what are the tools to make them if it is not the standard type of brake line flare set?l
They do not look like any of the brake line flare/flanges I am familiar with.

Can you post a pics to be sure what we are talking about. There is a DIN standard (now ISO standard) that covered those. There are some diesel flaring tools that might work, but they are uncommon now.

Look up ISO bubble flare and see if it looks like that.

Porsche fuel line fittings are called jic fittings with a 37 degree flare. Used for fuel and hydraulics.

Cohline M12 cone nipple with a M12 x 1.5 swivel nut on high pressure (400 psi) poly fuel line is easy to find and use compared to locating and making up steel hardline for a test stand.

Mark is right - when I was looking to build my rig I ended up ordering cohline fittings and polyamide line from Europe (finjector.com). So they should be able to supply to you pretty affordably.
