911 SC engine - Euro spec
Hi
Have just bought your book! Just the very best Porsche book I have bought - and I have a a lot! Looking at your suggestions for engine modifications for the 3 liter engine (carbs, S cams etc) I just wonder if the suggestions are based on a US spec engine or if the same applies to a Euro spec engine. Compression? What kind of effect can I expect after these modifications? I have a 204hk engine. Rgds JT Norway |

Thanks for the feedback!
The performance recommendations do apply to either the USA spec or Euro spec engines. In general, the following apply: - Upgrade exhaust (back date) for about 15 or so more HP - Higher compression will help across the board, however, the Euro models in general already have higher compression - 964 cams will help too. Off the top of my head, I think that the USA and Euro cams were exactly the same (don't quote me) - If you can ditch the CIS and go to some type of engine management system, that will help with emissions, and will also gain you a bunch more HP and fuel efficiency (big bucks though). -Wayne
