993 rod bolts

If my memory serves me correctly, 993 rod bolts are not stretch bolts like earlier engines. They do not have to be replaced if the measurement of the bolt from the base of the rod cap to the end of the stud does not exceed 38.3 mm.
3 knurl bolts can’t be replaced, but 4 knurl can. So, if you measure less than 38.3 mm then you are good to go with either style rod bolt, is this correct?
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t trust original bolts. Use ARP or like aftermarket bolt. G

Something you need to do when upgrading to ARP bolts is that the big ends will need to be resized due to distortion from the added torque.
