2.7 Years vs Port / Valve Size

Hey All,
Do the 74-77 years 2.7 motors vary in valve and / or port size over the years? Is there a reference by year?

Are they bigger than a 2.4 TE or E? TIA
Bill

The normal 2.7 ports are either 30 or 32mm intake and either 32 or 33 exhaust. The "S" was 35mm intake and exhaust.

Not hard to enlarge the smaller ports. The valves are all the same, 46mm intake and 40 exhaust.

Valves and heads are the same from '70 to '77. T and Es had the small ports, same as the 2,7.

Heads are mostly the same 70-77 as mentioned. 2.7 heads have a threaded port on the exhaust port side for the EGR. MFI heads in the earlier cars have the threaded port for injectors on the intake side.

Thanks guys. I had an opportunity to buy a 77 CIS motor, which initially I thought was a 79. The gentleman wanted $8500 and it was of unconfirmable condition other than it had oil leaks. Has been sitting out of the car for quite a while. Seems pricey for a small port motor, which to me is a rebuildable core. Although not assembled all the machining is done on my 2.4 so restarting just doesn't make sense. Unless he wants to cut that price in half. Anyone know what a good 2.7 core should be worth?

You're going to spend 5K at Ollies to make the case usable, so consider that. I used to rob the distributor, wur and fd off them and sell the rest for $500 back in the day.
