Nose length dim's 964/993 & GT3 crank, same?
Is this dim the same on a 993/964 and a GT3 (non-4L) crank?

...actually what I'd like to know is if someone has a Gt3 crank, could you let me know what this dim is?
|
You will most likely get an answer before me but I will get measurements off my GT-3 crank and post it today.

I get close to 67mm. My GT-3 crank is not tapered at the end like yours.

thanks...

I have both a GT3 and 993 crank to check.
These are the only numbers I could find on GT3 crank. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678483688.jpg My snout is not tapered either. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678483725.jpg GT3 Length. 2.63" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678483747.jpg 993 crank snout http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678483849.jpg 993 measurements 2.65" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678483888.jpg I also measured a 3.2/3.3 crank for comparison. 2.29" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1678484158.jpg I believe Rothsport makes crank pulleys with the correct offset for later cranks in earlier cases. john |
Thanks for breaking out the collection John...
The 964 crank in the pic measures 2.65". Look'n at your pic, the GT3 measurement might have been on the radius a little as I believe the 964/993/GT3 have same nose length after some other side conversations. Neil noted to me that the later longer noses are 0.35" longer which corresponds to your 3.2 measurement too. |
