Mahle Motorsport PS98015
Currently installing a set of subject cylinder kits and was hoping someone has calculated the dome volume. Any help would be appreciated.
Thinking you in advance, Rusty |

Thanks all for your direction.. I was odd be a few cc on the dome volume calculation. Feel better now. Still with 1mm of deck clearance I’m not to 10.1 cr.
Happy Easter. |

One other item. Do the cylinder heads need to be opened a bit for the 98 mm and if so anyone have a method short of the machine shop?
Thanks |

The "slip in" kits do not require machining.

Slip in kits do not require case machining. He was asking about heads. Take a good look at the set up, you *may* want to chamfer the head combustion chamber depending on your particular set up.
Cheers

Thanks all, . Will chamfer the combustion chamber a bit to match the 98 vs 95 bore.

IIRC, the 98mm slip-in's are no wider at the top or bottom than the 95's. Es verdad?

Most of the pistons they make these days have a flat land at the edge of the dome so a chamfer isn't needed. If the dome runs to the edge of the piston then you probably need a chamfer.
