Curil T on cylinder base gaskets timing
 

I have a timing question for you all. If I install the pistons and cylinders with curil T on the base gaskets and tighten them down with hold downs and leave them till the next day I have a chance to install the heads and the cam housings will I have a problem with the Curil T?
Do I need to wait till I have a full day that I can get everything assembled and torqued from cylinders to cam housings?

The purpose of using Curil T on base gaskets is the fact that it never hardens.
Cylinders on 911 air-cooled engine a constantly in flux (IE: moving from heat expansion and contraction) so a high temp, flexible sealant is best.

Thank you Henry, I thought that was the case but I wanted to check to make sure. I’m finding that breaking the assembly of the engine down into stages has been helpful to keep me from feeling overwhelmed.

Hi Brian,
had the same issue 2 month ago.
The cams wouldn't fit well and after 1 night I could retourq Cyl 2 and 5. Then the cams fits perfect and now the engine runs and have no leaks
