Hey Bob,
I believe your Dutch is at my level of English ;-)
Tried today also to initiate a spark by connecting (‘shortening’) the wires for the magnetic pickup. This should do the same as grounding and removing the white trigger wire. Again when connecting both contacts I get sparks and when removing the paperclip nothing happens. Also when connecting the trigger wire to the point wire (points close) I see aspark, when opening the points nothing happens.
So I decided to send everything back…..so they can see test it themselves!

Groeten,
Bart

Sent you PM

I just was in Amsterdam on the 13th last month. Too bad I couldn’t come by and give you my 2 cents worth of advice.

Great picture!
I don’ go often to Amsterdam but seeing this I realize how special/different it is
(Do you see the non even gap between the 3rd and 4th house from the left? These houses are build on wooden poles that need to stay submerged otherwise they will rot….)

On the sparks, I decided to send everything back to Dutch MSD representative so he can see/test what I saw. Will update when more info is available

Yes, they are on wood poles. Note the leaning houses with the tapered gaps between them. It was said by our canal tour guide, they are know as the “Dancing Sisters”. All in all, this was my favorite city on my river cruise towards Budapest.

Are you sending MSD faculty? That would be tremendous service. You need to get her running and driving.
