Rod clearance on crank
I've looked and must be blind, but can't find the spec of what the tolerance of the rods moving side to side on the crank are.
I did a quick measure ment of the bearing journals and read 59.97 to 59.99, should be fine.

Side clearances are what you are looking for. I think this info is in my book, but I don't have it next to me right now...

This must be a 3 liter crank as you didn't specify. The numbers you describe are for the main journals. According to a spec book, the standard main journal range is 59.971 - 59.990 mm. Your crank is 59.97 to 59.99 mm.
The connecting rod journal OD should be 52.971 - 52.990 mm (standard). The factory manuals don't list a rod side clearance that's readily obvious, but I think (please verify) it should be in the area of around 0.012 - 0.015" or thereabouts. Maybe Wayne has that info. "Got my magnifying glass out, is it the clearance (rod/sidewall) .200 -.350?" That's 0.008" - 0.013". That sounds about right. You eyeballed that? You're good. I think he meant magnifying glass to read the very small print in the back of my book (it was the only way to make it fit!).
The rod / sidewall clearances are listed for all crankshafts on page 205. That's correct - +0.200 to +0.350, I believe I got that either from the factory manuals or the spec books. -Wayne
