74’ 911 ignition
I’m trying to wire a MSD 6A ignition on my 911S. The prior owner took out the CD box. Was wondering what is this (see photo) and do I need it for MSD?
Thanks, Alan |

That's a capacitor for RF ignition noise suppression. You can usually remove it with no ill effects because modern radios do a much better job of suppressing ignition noise than 1970's radios. Of course, try running with and without it to be sure it doesn't have some effect on your MSD.
