I disassembled and cleaned the gears of the oil pump. Does anyone know the torque spec for the 4 nuts holding the pump housing together. Do i use loctite as well? Also what is the torque specs for the oil pump onto the case? with loctite? thanks in advance. |

...is that 6mm torque spec just for the oil pump housing bolts? ...typical spec for 6mm fastener is 9.7 nm, 7 ft-lbs, 84 inch-lbs.
As far as oil pump to case, they're M8's at 23nm or 17 ft-lbs. Use lock nut 999 084 095 02 |

I asked Porsche many years ago when I bought the new Turbo pump going in my 3.4.
They said 50 inch-pounds with red loctite (270 is the number they quoted). I am presuming that the 964 pump is not that much different.... D. |
