Phenolic Spacers and intake manifold 2.7

So I'm putting carbs on a 2.7.

The intake port on the 2.7 is supposedly 35mm. I measured 34.47mm, maybe I don't measure well.

Should the intake manifolds be PMO 36mm or 34mm?

Most likely the spacers should match the intake. I tried to buy the kit from Pklassik, but they are OOS and have since removed the listing.

Why do they not sell a 35mm kit - intake manifolds/spacers for a 2.7 carb conversion?

Simply put, Richard at PMO has data that confirms that the transition from manifold to head should be progressive.
He designed his manifold to be at least 1mm smaller than the port it feeds.
I believe the theory revolves around pulse control created by a small restriction on the reversion pulse.

Bummer about the Pklassik parts, I needed to order some too :(

Our host has 36mm PMO insulators. Just go with 36mm, it's ok if its a little larger than the intake port, you don't want it smaller than the intake.

Sorry, read through your post too quickly. I thought you were just looking for insulators. You need intake manifolds....lol You don't have many options. Tall PMO's are the way to go , or tall OEM manifolds ( 906? ) Pierce Manifolds has 36mm intake manifolds, not sure what else is out there. I increased the intake ports on my 2.7 to match the PMO's .

Henry, thanks for the answer I was looking for. Ok so I can use the 34mm PMO intakes I have with the 34mm phenolic spacers from whoever and be good to go.

I believe you can only get 32mm phenolic insulators from Porsche. Many, myself included have ordered custom sized insulators from Sendcutsend. If that's the direction you go, I can send you the DXF file I used if you don't want to make your own.
