Engine mounted oil cooler question

I see Sierra Madre is selling new engine mounted oil coolers ( aftermarket).
Does anyone have knowledge or experience with them.
Thanks

I saw new aftermarket engine coolers at RennSport. They come with interchangeable inlet fittings for different applications. They moved away from the original drawn cup construction to tube and fin design. I suspect they are more robust and they looked pretty nice. Couldn’t find pictures, maybe someone else who saw them will comment.

The company making them started a thread in this forum about a month ago.

CSF Engine Mount Oil Cooler

Thread Announcement - NEW CSF Porsche 911/930 Turbo Engine Oil Cooler

CSF Website

Pelican listing - Porsche CSF OEM+ Performance Engine Oil Cooler, 67-89 911/930

Personally, I would rather have the CSF one than an unknow manufacture from Sierra Madre.

Edit
The Sierra Madre oil coolers that I saw have welded connections for the thread/pipe nipple so it does not appear to be the CSF cooler.

My recent experience with engine mounted oil cooler's is to buy the csf cooler.
I spent 1.5 months scrounging up used oil coolers on eBay, pelican etc only to have all 6 of them fail when being cleaned & tested.
Save yourself all the time & hassle and spend the $$ to get a new cooler…
Unless you like to roll the dice on a rebuild or whatever your reason is…

Although I have no experience with the latest versions of aftermarket coolers, my experience is that they can't handle the vibrations associated with 911 air-cooled engines.
When we need a new one, we buy the factory original Behr cooler. They are still available and with all things considered, the cost is still reasonable.

Depending on cost may your reason on which to buy…
I decided to give CSF a try because it has a 10 year warranty and their video sites, improvement in functionality versus the Porsche OEM bear cooler… Time will tell…
