turbo engine break in

Hey guys, excuse my ignorance, but my ERB is not with me now, and I am very curious about something. I just did the 20 minute at 2000 rpm initial break in on my engine. Now, for the second part of the break in which requires me to use my engine's torque while driving and load the engine, my engine will go on boost at anything over 50% throttle opening. I know I shouldn't force boost into the cylinders during this part of the break-in, but how else can I load the motor without going on boost?
I know there must be an easy answer to this, but I thought of maybe opening the wastegates temporarily? This would stop the turbos from making boost and allow me to load the engine.
What do the experts say? What's the proper way to break in a turbo engine?
Thanks!

Problem with wastegates is that it's easy to make them open late (giving more boost) , but hard to make them open earlier (giving less boost). What you need is to supply some compressed air to them to keep them open when driving.

Frankly, I don't see the reason why you should avoid using boost...

Good luck with your project!
