Oil pump/cooler donut o ring seals: red vs. green
I'm a bit confused on which type I should use for my 3.4 build, I already have the red (I think they are Elring brand) brand ones, but for something that critical as a oil pump I just don't want to risk it. The problem is I can't find the original OEM ones in stock in any vendor. Any good/bad stories about the red ones?

Never had an issue with either one.

I think the Green ones are Viton. A newer material.

The oil pump is entirely inside the engine, so if these leak a little, that little bit just goes into the sump, not on the floor. For seals between the engine and the outside world, I'm more picky about using Viton. Bottom line, don't worry about it on the pump, as the others have said.
You didn't say which set of gaskets/seals you are using. Did you get the Wrightwood set? If so, just use what they sent you. It's the best set you can get.
