Worst. Rebuild. Ever.
 

I had my car up on the lift today and while searching for a few leaks found that for some reason the previous owner used multiple base gaskets on all cylinders. Did I say multiple? Yup, as in 5-7 copper gaskets beneath all jugs. Looks like I'm going to pull it out this fall just to find out what else was screwed up :(

Probably didn't know that they make thicker base gaskets to compensate for head machining. Not supposed to stack any at all. I guess it's good that there is an outward sign of incompetence. Otherwise you'd have never known. (Trying to look on the bright side here.) Good luck.
