Head studs re-re-revisited....
I am at the point (finally) where I need to buy new head studs, and I need to make a decision. Wayne's book reccomends the standard early style steel studs, but I have heard from others about using the steel 993 studs.
What is the difference, and which is better? If they are the same, why is the 993 version $2 each less? Thanks, Tom |
They are different in design but will fit the same application.
One would assume that modern engineering and metalurgy would make the 993 stud superior to the earlier studs. As far as the price, I would think that the price difference is related to nothing more than supply and demand. |
