Which glyco bearings are those? The $200 ones? Or GT3? It’s got to be something in the bearing coating reacting with the oil and or aluminum.

They are the cheaper bearings. I've used them before and never had an issue.
I have two sets of them at the moment, and tried them both, and they do it

I have a set of GT3 bearings in the packet.. but before I try them, I really dont think its a reaction. I suspect it's more to do with how the tunnels were bored from factory. Ie, a rotating cutter being withdrawn?
