turbo charger rebuilding..anyone done it?

Hi Folks,

I recieved a pair of used K24's yesterday for my twin turbo project and upon close inspection the leading edge of one of the compressor wheels is nicked and the other compressor wheel looks like it just barely kissed the compressor housing.

I'd like to replace the compressor wheels. I've priced the compressor wheels and the price is very reasonable .

So does anyone have experience taking these things apart and putting them back together? Any thing else I should do while I'm in there? Like replace the bearing?

According to the part supplier the compressor wheel is balanced from the factory but perhaps the turbine wheel and compressor wheel should be balanced together?

thanks
