Do these fit in a SC engine? or do you need a GT3 crank also?

There are a couple of generations of GT3 rods. The basic answer is, yes. The 996 GT3
rods will fit the crank. Early rods are 127.8mm and later 996 rods are 130mm.
These rods make for a nice replacement for high rpm builds.

Ok so a direct fit to a sc crank or?

Big end diameter:

- 3,0L is 56,01 mm.
- GT3 is 56,02 mm.

Maybe make sure if other bearings are needed ?

Interesting. .01 mm is .0004” if I’m doing my math right. That should be within the range to address by resizing the BE of the rod.

I assume the Ti Pankl GT3 rods don't fit a 993 crank? Dimensions look really close but maybe not close enough.

Correct.
And considering there is a range of bearings you can buy, some are made with extra clearance etc..
Like any build, it will be at the discretion of the machinist and the builder, their measuring equipment and how well they use these tools.

Others on this forum remind me that GT3 ran slightly larger clearance at times.
