Thanks Henry,

Short related question, as being calibrated for a 2.4S, you mean that it still needs to be tuned (on a dyno or air/fuel ratio sensor) or will it run already proper with the standard 2.4S calibrated pump!?

Every engine rebuild will require some level of tuning.
What I'm suggesting is that the 2.4 space cam will offer reasonable performance.
MFI is an imperfect system with limited versatility. They never run "perfect" but with a reasonable expectations, you should be happy with the compatibility.

It not a bad idea to upgrade the valve springs for the higher lift cams. Re-jetting the Webers would work but if the carbs are IDTs they can offer some challenges to transition tuning. The early exhaust will support good performance all the way to 260HP.

I am having a street 2. liter built that I believe is close to what you have describe.
You have given council earlier ….plus have your rockers.
It is old school Mahle S p/c 9.8CR, DC 30, head work including 46/40 valves SC springs, and porting. Two things in question….Bosch distributor 008 w pertronix
Planning Webers (IDTs)with 32 Venturis but need remainder of set up for Webers
Specifically E tubes and jetting. Would appreciate any guidance. Thank you!
