After 20 years this is a first, are these injector inserts removal, they look screwed in but not sure. And are they available?

Thanks
Craig

The aluminum sleeve is not available. The rubber seals/was available.
The aluminum sleeve is pressed in. Over the years we have thrown those heads away when the injector was not being used in a new build. Because good heads are becoming harder to find, now we remove the sleeve and weld or insert the whole. Welding when carbs are installed and inserted when MFI is being retro fitted.

Is it possible to tap these out for injectors directly into the heads?

The only injector you would want to install directly in the head is an MFI injector. The existing hole is larger than the MFI injector. That is why, in my response I states that an insert is required. What we've done in the past is use an oversized (big) Timesert but we have also made press in inserts that are tapped to suit the MFI injector.

Since the inserts are not available and we wanted to keep things stock, the rubber bushings are still available so I fired up the old Hardinge cnc lathe and made a set of six. Happy these are finally done, ship them out!!
