Who Re-Makes Argus Oil Hoses?
:)
A fellow Pelican contacted me RE: Early 911 (914-6) authentic Argus Oil Lines. He would like to have them Re-Made. A long while back I spoke with someone here on Pelican who does this, just cannot remember his name. Can someone help with this search? It will be greatly appreciated by all of us who revere these wonderful cars. They are engineering marvels and must be preserved for future generations. Len :) |
I’m pretty sure Argus doesn’t make any wire covered hose anymore. The best source for anything close would be from Brad Davis over on the S registry. He helped me finish a job.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737338525.jpg

Love that color gled49.... Where can we find more about your 911? Len :) |
Besides their lighter weight, the beauty of the early oil fitting assemblies is that they are field rebuildable.
If you need to repair or make a hose it can be done in the pits without an expensive crimping machine. All you need is the Cohline hose. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737573521.jpg I make straight fittings of both Argus and TCh style in both M26 and M30 sizes. |

Just the person we are looking for. Thanks for your response. You can expect a email request shortly. Len :) |
