Another case sealing idea

During my engine rebuild and going down the abyss of engine case sealing I have an idea to use the same sealant I use on aircraft

the sealant is P/S 890 B1/2, its a two part sealant mixed by weight and is completely oil resistant

the sealant when mixed it is VERY thick but can be thinned with MEK to achieve what ever viscosity you want. The idea is to thin it to a 574 like viscosity and treat this like some people do when sealing case halves with DOW 730 and not spread it out the entire case leaving a small area to be filled out with squeeze out when torques as to mitigate the risk of contamination in the engine case.

The main benefit I see with this sealant is

Its an exceptional sealant, its what we use to seal fuel tanks, panels, even windshields

can withstand MAJOR temperature changes with out degrading

the main one is its stability, this sealant is SUPER stable, its almost like an epoxy yet still malleable , this is the best stuff I can imagine that will retain the stability of the case and prevent fretting and warping

I believe this is what Nelson racing engine uses to seal copper head gaskets on their engines

let me know what you think or if anyone has tried this before.
