Piston's & Cylinder's for '78 SC
 
Will the pistons/cylinders with part number 930-103-983-05 (for an 81-83) work in a '78 SC? Pet chart indicates up thru 1980, the part number should be 930-103-962-03 (or -04). Thanks...Steve

Yes, the later higher compression pistons (9.3 vs 8.5) with the early large ports is a nice combination.

Thanks John. Would there be any drivability issues, or problems getting it smogged here in California?

The biggest thing is, you have to use high test fuel.
Cams are the same but the settings are different
