Carrera tensioners on 2.4 engine - questions

I'm kitting up to rebuild a 2.4 right now - I need to make sure I have everything on the list. I'll be upgrading my chain tensioners to 3.2-type pressure fed units. A couple questions:

-Does the "kit" sold by PP and other places include the little oil line retainer brackets that secure the line to the chain box? If not, has anyone got part numbers?

-I notice that the later engines have the pressure sender in-line with the right-hand cam tower line. My pressure sender on my 2.4 is on the other end of the motor near the breather housing and thermostat. It seems that the updated line won't be long enough without the in-line sender; what's the fix for this on early engines? I don't want to change sender positions; is there an adapter available?

To answer your first question, the kit I bought from Pelican 2 months ago indeed came with the all the brackets and rubber "grommets" required to hold the oil lines in place.

I will have to look on my SC engine for the pressure sender question, but I don't really know the answer.

Good luck,

use the long fitting and square mounting block from a later engine and plug the top hole where the sender would screw in.

You can buy a longer oil line specifically for the engines where the sending unit is on the rear of the engine. Or you can make your own extension as Mr. Walker describes.

BK - do you know the part number for this longer line? Sounds like it is the quickest solution. Thanks for the info!

The oil line adapter from PP is part number H-107-348-XX.

EBS, and others used to sell the longer version of the oil line, but I can't find it anywere anymore. The part number was:
930 107 348 XL "Extra long cam line for '67-'73 cars"
