I'm missing something. What keeps the nuts tight on the stud if no spring washer is used? Does the SuperTec thread lube prevent the nuts from loosening?

I've been debating using bolts over studs as well. Have removed the CIS without an engine drop for rebuild and was thinking it will make it a lot easier to slide back in without needing to get up and over the studs. I was considering using cup head hex bolts. I was thinking from my measurements the stud threads are 16mm long then the height of manifold with gasket is 15mm plus a washer gets us around 32mm so an M8 x30mm would be the right size without bottoming out. Thoughts on this plan?
