1979 911SC Control Pressure Pegged
I recently dropped my engine to do a bunch of maintenance items, which included replacing all the fuel lines & pump. I reinstalled the engine and it fired off but stalls within seconds. I put my fuel pressure gauge on to find out if something was off wrong and found that the system pressure is way to high, the gauge pegs. My first thought was did I cross the fuel lines but everything seems to be in order and if they were, I would think that would end up showing itself as low pressure? My next thought was, is the return plugged? I have not yet removed the return to validate this but even then, I don't think the pressure would be pegged. I am now wondering if it might be a faulty pump. Going to dig more tomorrow but would be interested to know if anyone has some suggestions? The fuel pressure gauge is installed between the fuel distributor and the WUR and prior to all this work, fuel pressures were close to spec. Thanks!
